exactly.music is one of the nutrients that foster one's spirit and soul in the way he/she grows up.but music is without boundary of countries. these days i am think about using Chinese music to write English lyric, or English to Chinese, or even other country's music. a very good example is like that :"长亭外,古道边..." the lyric is very Chinese, music is of US.

everywhere, in all countries, and at all times, many great writers use folk music/songs to write beautiful verses, like robert burns “red, red rose”, etc. you may give it a try and see how it goes…. and my "Birthday Lyric" is another simple version of robert burns "red, red rose", isn't it?
