me too. it is in dormant state. once enlighted or delighted, it will be like a river flowing from inside. I remember I always copy my elder sister’s (who was 2 yrs older than me and was in same grade as mine.) composition when I was in primary and junior high. And I never know I can write well at later time. Right now, I can do whatever in a quick several minutes or 10-20 minutes to put anything in a page or two, projects, minutes, points and ponders, verses, or even diagramming something. Amazing, isn’t it. Also, anyone can be artist/musician or the music lover when listening to “Amazing Grace”, as no one will deny it is a beautiful song/tune.

Btw: for writing, rules of thumb: (1) be enjoyable. let your work be read for a thousand times by one user, not one time by a thousand users. (2) be succinct: short and easy to read. Try to be as short as possible, like sending a telegraph with each word counting for some money, as my Chinese mentors always told me long time ago, as people are impatient or don’t have much time to read a long one by keep moving mouse scrolling ball. (3) try to use as less words as possible, if this is creative writing, like poetry, etc. try to use image, picturesque, sound, graphic, motion, action, time, space, etc, to express your feeling, emotion, ideas. ah, really? i adore you, and a bit jealous of your passions in your youth. what you read and wrote must be very beatiful lines that cultivate you much.

but i, on the contary, didn't know i can write some verse until over my thirties. i never had special interest in poems or other forms of literature. when i was at school. Chinese,especially composition was my headache. How could i now sometimes write some poems? i think that is because i got to know the love, beginning with the love from God. my first poem was written in a thanksgiving afternoon, which is tittled by :"I didn't know the Lord before". I never forget that day when I was touched to tears(nobody sermoned to that day, I was just alone ), and can't stand not writing it out. Then i just can't stop, one after another....

some singer are original singer(never trained,but sing beatifully).so is the case i write poem. i think i need to read more poetric works, which may do good to my future writings.

i have too many poetic books of several hundreds that i can't remember each of them quite very long time ago. the important thing is that we may refresh and enjoy some of them, in our busy schedules, in this vast amount of the beautiful writings in the history.
